5 Things I Did That Were Frugal This Week

1. I made homemade toffee to take to work instead of buying a treat.

2. I wrapped Chrîstmas gifts with wrapping paper we already had

3. I used my tag punch to make gift tags out of recycled Christmas cards I have saved from years past.

4. I made a list and stuck to it when grocery shopping.

5. I combined my driving and shopping to coincide with my going to work. No waste of gas

5 Things I Did That Were Frugal This Week

1. I went into Goodwill looking for a few items which I did not find. I left without buying anything

2. Repurposed some leftovers into soup

3. Sold some of Kid# 5 outgrown tights on a facebook page. Made $5. Every little bit helps :)

4. Sold 4 scarves this week. Made an extra $52. Again every extra $1 helps :)

5. Combined my driving in order to save on gas

I Am Still Around....

I haven't wrote a real post in forever!  I am still around though and I read others blogs often.

We are still plugging away at our snowball. I am really hoping to be debt free by Jan 1.  However if that doesn't work out then it will definitely happen by mid January. Woohoo!

I am 3/4th of the way done with my Christmas shopping.  So far I am on budget.  How is everyone else doing?

There are some big changes coming for us in 2015 which I will write more about when I post my goals for the new year. Has anyone else started thinking about their goals and what they would like to accomplish?

One thing I would really like to do is cut our grocery budget.  We now have 3 sometimes 4 people we feed regularly in our household compared to the 7 we originally had.  Our budget has been $400 a month for a long time.  I frequently have money left.  So I believe it is time to take another look at this budget.  I think I will wait for the new year to start though before doing so.

Anyway, I wanted you all to know I am still around.  We are still working on being debt free.  I am still doing all the same frugal things I have always done.  I hope to post some presents I have made this year after Christmas is over and the recipients have received their gifts.  Just in case they read my blog :)

Here is one project I made for myself and Kid #3.  We needed something to hang our stockings on since we don't have a fire place mantel. I already had the boards and the paint.  Spent about $15 to make 2 of them.
