The Governor has now declared a "state of emergency" for the whole state. We have had terrible storms with ton of rain. Lots and lots of flooding all around us.
Our finished basement is flooded, which houses Kid #3 bedroom.
This is so not what we needed right now. I really think I could use a drink or two :)
Hopefully I will be back soon with better things to write about!
Hope the river goes down soon!!
ReplyDeleteThanks you Sluggy! BTW: Do you know what happen to Judy?? I sent her an email and never got a reply :(
DeleteUgh, I'm so so sorry! I hope all the storms will stop very soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lena!
DeleteI am so sorry, flooding is no joke. I wish I was there to help. Install a sump pump, in a closet. We had to in a house we lived in before this one. It was well worth it.
ReplyDeleteWe have a sump pump, there is so much water that is was was seeping in anyway. There is flooding all over the state. Peoples houses who have never had their basements flood before are. Roads, the river is suppose to crest at the highest it ever has before, ever! The last record was 18 feet they are saying it may crest at 30.
DeleteFlooding is so horrible to deal with. I'm reading this about a week late so hopefully the storms are done and your family and house is ok.
ReplyDeleteWe had our basement flood last year during a horrible storm. Unfortunately, there was so much water it backed up the sewers and our basement was flooded with raw sewage. We had to get rid of everything. Fortunately, we had something in our insurance policy that covered that type of flooding so we were lucky. I didn't even know we had that type of coverage and I know a lot of people around here weren't covered. Our insurance company told us if the water had come in through a window or door we wouldn't have been covered.
