Good Thoughts For My Family Please

My daughter in law is 24 weeks pregnant.  She is in the hospital now with what is called funneling of the cervix.  She is also having contractions but they are far apart.  They are giving her medication to try to stop them.

Please send some good thoughts our way, it was just 9 months ago at 21 weeks she lost my granddaughter.

  4. Sending LOTS of prayers your way. I can now say I can relate to the angst of a tough pregnancy.

  6. New reader here...sending lots of prayers your way! I feel your pain, like it was yesterday. I still remember losing our daughter at 17 weeks...then almost losing our son at 15 weeks (ironically for both right after finding out the genders). Fortunately we had just switched OBs and they recoginzed I had an imcomptent cervix and needed a cerclage. Sadly it caused pre-term labor (they usually preform it at 12 weeks to lessen the chance of irritating the cervic and causing preterm labor) so after being hospitalized for a few days I was sent home with a terbutaline pump to stop labor. I was on strict bed rest, had to change the injection site every 2 days, and had daily monitoring and a nurse visit once a week for 20 weeks (ds was born at 37wks right after they stopped the pump) & it all worked in the end and now DS is 5. Praying that your outcome is just as happy!
