Update On My Daughter In Law

My daughter in law is now home but on strict bed rest for the rest of her pregnancy.

Lets hope my Grandson stays put for the next 10 weeks or so until the Dr says it is safe for him to be born.

Thank you everyone for thinking of me and my family and all of your well wishes!

  1. I'll keep praying. Bed rest is a must! Your DIL must stay in that bed!

  2. I was on bedrest during one of my pregnancies when I miscarried one of the twins but remained pregnant with the other :( 5 l.o.n.g weeks of bedrest but obviously worth it!

    1. Thank you! Any suggestions of things I can pick up for her to pass the time?

    2. I read a lot! and watched a lot of TV. We didn't have wireless internet "back then" or that would have helped too. Maybe some magazines and a few baby name books? Hope she is doing ok.

  5. Thanks for the update... will keep her in my prayers.

As for passing time, does she have a tv/dvd player in her room? Lots of good books, crafting supplies? Maybe a cross stitch kit? Puzzle books?

  6. So glad to hear the update! Still sending prayers.
For my 20 weeks of bed rest I joined a mommy forum....it had a due date thread where all of us mommies due at the same time could chat. I started on my son's baby book, and looked up nursery designs for hubby to tackle on the weekends. I registered online for the baby. I enjoy find a word puzzles so hubby got me a few books.
Also, since I was around I also helped with my shower (which was thrown at my house) but I got to pick the theme, colors, cake design, etc. The day of they all came and cooked cleaned and decorated while I was in bed. I couldn't remove the pump so I had to take a shower with it (wrapped in the plastic bag it came with) but it was still fun getting all pretty for the party (even with it beeping cause the cartidge of meds was low).
I also napped..ALOT. I knew the lack of sleep I was heading for so I slept often. I also caught up on shows and movies I had always meant to watch but with a full time job and a tween to take care of I never got around too.
